LITERARY EXPOSITION
During Dostoevsky's life the rooms, where Literary exposition is situated, were occupied by common apartments, where the writer's neighbours lived a hundred years ago. The first room of the exposition is dedicated to Dostoevsky's life, the second - to the writer's five main novels.
The exposition begins with a unique exhibit - the map of Dostoevsky's Petersburg, realized on Museum's order by a Petersburg artist Boris Kostygov. Addresses marked on the map are those of Dostoevsky and his characters living in Petersburg, and the labels bordering the map present enlarged images of these houses.

In the Room 1 materials for Dostoevsky's biography and creative work from 1821 to 1864 are presented. The exposition is organized upon the principle of "corners": every new period of Dostoevsky's life represents a new "corner" of the exposition.

In the Room 2 materials are presented related to the next period of the writer's life and creative work - from 1865 to 1881.
